Nutrisystem Week 14: Customize Your Menu!

I’ve written about customizing your menu in a previous post, though I want to drive home the importance of taking advantage of this option. I believe it does cost extra from the base price to be able to choose your foods by customizing your menu. Before immediately balking at spending even more money on the plan, hear me out! First of all, Nutrisystem is an investment in a better you – which is priceless in my book. Second, choosing foods that you actually like to eat WILL be the difference between success or failure in your weight loss journey. It took Jeff and I about 2 months to get a good feel for the foods that we really like, the foods we tolerate and the foods that could potentially bring our weight loss journey to a grinding halt because they are just that bad. There is nothing encouraging about having to choke down a disgusting entree. I know it sounds

Nutrisystem Week 13: How Much Space Do I Need To Store The Food?

Nutrisystem: How much room does it take up? and other useful tips to prepare for your NS journey. Another aspect to take into consideration before ordering Nutrisystem is that it takes some pre-planning in order to have room for all of the food. Realize that you are going to immediately be storing 28 days of food when Nutrisystem first arrives at your home. Being prepared before it arrives will make the experience seamless and less stressful. I will be honest, opening up a giant box of food the first time was overwhelming. Having a place to put it really helped. Spending just 30 minutes organizing every month’s shipment requires no extra organizational effort for the remainder of the month, making it SO worth it to me. Husband and I are doing Nutrisystem together, so we are obviously storing twice as much food. If I was just storing one set of food, it would easily fit on one 18″ x 32″

Welcome to our third edition of the Baier (buy-er) Bonus! Weigh-ins are encouraging, but watching the inches disappear and the bodies shrink is the icing on the cake. (Nutrisystem cake that is) Monthly, Jeff and I will (reluctantly) model for our progress photos and I will also be posting how many inches we have lost. We are putting it all out there folks, no holds barred. After completing six months I will post comparison photos 🙂

Nutrisystem Week 12: Week of Wins

Today marks the end of MONTH THREE of Nutrisystem. I have to say, it feels good to say that. In fact, Fedex just now delivered our fourth month of food. Our Fedex delivery man is so good to us, he rearranged my furniture to wheel all the food in to our living room – love that guy! It’s gettin’ real folks! Jeff and I have 9 months left to finish the original 12 months that we committed to. I’m not going to gush about how easy it has been, because nothing about dieting is easy. I have wanted to throw in the towel and have been tempted to eat “normal” food more than one time. I’ve mentioned it before, but this blog and my support team is keeping me 100% accountable to my weight loss goals. We are going to succeed and keep it off for good this time. Thankfully I had a wonderful week of successes to push me

Get your current events fix in a tiny portion of your free time and without having to scour the Internet! № 1. Missing Bitcoins Found As Mt. Gox Recovers $120 Million from Old Electronic Wallets This was big news around our house because my husband invests in Bitcoin. Apparently this recovery is only about 1/4 of the original approximate 800,000 (approx $450 million USD at current market value) Bitcoin that was originally lost. I am actually interested to hear the lowdown, so I will be following this story. № 2. Hiland Crude Pipeline Spills Oil Near Alexander, ND Approximately 34,000 gallons of crude oil spilled onto soil. It has been contained and did not contaminate any water supplies. I’m sure it was a
