Family Focus Challenge | Week Eleven

Early this year I realized that I was doing a very poor job of documenting our family in pictures. Here and there I would snap random snapshots but I was left feeling frustrated because I was not capturing the types of photographs that I desired. I became determined to create portraiture and documentary photographs that I could be proud of. I attended a couple of amazing workshops and I taught myself how to use manual mode, as well as shooting in RAW and editing in Photoshop. I have used that determination to capture the personality of my children on a daily basis. Not every picture is a stunning work of art, but I am capturing memories. Not everyone will have the same drive that I did to learn my camera inside out, but I find photography very intriguing and this was the right fit for me. My cousin-in-law, the talent behind Stremel Photography – is hosting a family-focused 365 challenge and I jumped in feet first because it was just what I needed to start taking notice of the little moments in our day that are usually forgotten and go unnoticed.     The ones of their little faces squished together is so cute!! They both have that sparkle in their eye. Liam’s maybe a bit of an onry sparkle:)
