What was in Citrus Lane April 2014?
This is our third Citrus Lane box and I was very excited to receive it in the mail. One of the best concepts of this service is receiving special surprise gifts every month. Which I love!
I did quite a bit of research via fellow mommy blogs before deciding on Citrus Lane. I would suggest that you do your due diligence between all the subscription box offerings before shelling out the cash. Or take advantage of a discounted first box to see if you love it as much as we do! Check out the promo discount opportunity at the bottom of this post to get started with Citrus Lane!
Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription service that sends a box of (four or more) boutique kid and mom-related items from ages 0-5. Each box is tailored to the age of your child each month. They partner with the newest and best brands to surprise your family with a unique box of the best products!
So here is the lowdown of what was in our Citrus Lane April 2014 box:
*My price comparisons are (mostly) based on current Amazon.com prices because that is where we primarily shop, feel free to compare to wherever you shop!
Received the email that our box shipped 4/12/14 and it arrived in the mail yesterday, 4/17/14.
As always, I love that they send a personal note detailing everything in the box AND they include discount codes for some or all of the brands in the box. Fabulous perk!
№ 1. We All Go Traveling By Singalong Book & CD Set by Sheena Roberts ($8.99) – 5 Years and Up. Paperback. Vibrant illustrations and fun content. We popped the cd in right away, the music was exciting and fun to dance and sing along with. My oldest noticed right away that the cd skips several lines in the book, which does make it a little hard to follow along. Overall, very cute and we would be happy to read and listen to them independent of each other!
№ 2. Green Toys Race Car ($6.29) – 1 year and up. Very happy to see this adorable little car in our box. We are huge Green Toys fans at our house. Cute portable toy (approximately 6″ long and 3.5″ wide) and rolls very well.
№ 3. Green Eats Snack Bowls ($9.04). Imagine my surprise to find a SECOND Green Toys product in our box! These bowls are just so great, will definitely be using them often. Nicely sized for toddler portions at 4 1/4″ in diameter. 100% made in the USA, and true to the Green Toys brand – they are free of melamine, BPA, phthalates, PVC, and external coatings.
№ 4. Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Lemon Verbena Dish Soap ($0.00) – 2 fl. oz. Since several online retailers often send these for free, I will not be giving it a price towards the value of this box. This is a wonderful natural dish soap. I will be putting this aside to take with us on camping trips, as it is a small packable size.
№ 5. Treat by Shutterfly Greeting Card Offer ($3.49) Hadn’t heard of Treat until today, will have to check it out! What better way to check out a new brand than to get my first order for free?
In all, I received five items with a total value of $27.81. I purchased the annual subscription, so I paid approximately $18.17 per box.
Total Items: 5
Total Value: $27.81
What I Paid: $18.17
Total Savings: $9.64
Overall, very pleased with my third box and experience with Citrus Lane. I was introduced to a new online brand. Received two Green Toys products, which makes me very happy if you couldn’t tell 🙂 The savings was a little slim compared to past boxes, though we will use every single item in the box, so no loss there!
