Nutrisystem Week 2: I’m Eating Like a King!

Although I don’t think that my husband, Jeff shares my sentiment – I felt like I ate SO much this week! Here’s the dealio. I finished the Fast 5 on Thursday, and it did exactly what I anticipated – shed quite a bit of weight and shrunk my stomach. I mean – seriously shrunk my stomach, way smaller than I could have even imagined. The first day I ate the regular plan (I am doing the My Way Select Plan – Complete Women 1800) I was uncomfortably full. We’re not talking a whole bunch of food here either, at least not compared to my previous eating habits. Here is a sample of what a day of Nutrisystem eating looks like on the My Way Select Plan – Complete Women 1800:

Breakfast: 

  • Nutrisystem entree
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 medium banana

Mid-Morning Snack:

  • Low-fat cheese stick
  • 2 Tbsp cashews

Lunch:

  • Nutrisystem entree
  • 1 cup cooked broccoli
  • 1/4 parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1/2 cup cooked quinoa

Mid-Afternoon Snack:

  • Apple
  • 2 Tbsp cashews

Dinner:

  • Nutrisystem entree
  • 1 cup cooked green beans
  • 1 whole wheat pita pocket
  • 2 oz luncheon meat

Dessert:

  • Nutrisystem snack

Jeff’s daily intake is very similar to mine right now (since we both have 100+ pounds to lose), and it makes it pretty easy because I just prepare double of everything.

By the end of this week, my body adapted to the new plan and caloric intake, and I feel great. As much as I abhorred the Fast 5 at first, I am very thankful for it now. I feel like I am eating like a king! I am especially excited about the Fast 5 as a way to potentially bust through plateaus when we get to that point!

Below is what we lost this week! I barely edged by this week with a loss, I am pretty sure what happened is that a lot of the weight that I shed on the Fast 5 was water weight (which is why I gained up a few pounds mid-week) and then by today I had re-lost the weight, but this time it was actual fat loss.

Jeff’s Progress:

  • Week 1: -14.0
  • Week 2: -6.6

Rebekah’s Progress:

  • Week 1: -9.3
  • Week 2: -0.4
